Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhoea) refers to the pain experienced during the monthly period. It can vary in intensity from month to month, and may occur at different times. Always seek medical advice if pain is severe or there is doubt/anxiety that there is a possible organic cause for the pain, or there is excessive blood flow or clotting.
