Happy Bum - Happy Bum Coffee Beans

What’s in Happy Bum Beans?

Happy Bum Beans are an organic, medium roasted blend that has been specifically roasted for enema use. It is extremely gentle on the gut for even the most sensitive users. Our Happy Bum Beans are a blend of Ethiopian and PNG higher altitude coffee. Research shows that these traditionally have a higher palmitic acid content of 40.4-46.4% whereas coffee from other regions was found to have an average palmitic acid of 31-35%. Each batch of our coffee is individually tested for mycotoxins. The most common mycotoxins found in coffee are Aflatoxin B1 and Ochratoxin A. These are both known carcinogens that have been found to cause damage to the kidneys and liver. approximately 53% of all coffee is found to have mycotoxins, however many are not tested before being put on the shelf!

Who would find Coffee Enema’s useful?

Coffee enemas are used to support Liver, Colon, and Gallbladder detoxification, boosting antioxidants, reducing fatigue, lowering anxiety, binding to free radical cells, and fighting off candida and parasites. They were originally used as pain relief for soldiers in WWI and are an essential part of the Gerson Therapy. Gerson Therapy is famous for their protocol for treating cancer naturally using raw foods, juices and coffee enemas.

How to use Happy Bum Beans:

Bring 600ml (2.5 cups) of filtered water to the boil in a kettle or saucepan.
Add 2 tbsp of ground coffee to a coffee plunger and pour boiling water over
Let stand for 10 minutes.
Plunge using the Happy Bum Co Plunger to strain the coffee and let cool to body temperature.
Pour into your Happy Bum Bag and use as directed.
If you are short on time, you can add some more (purified) cold water, or ice cubes to speed up the process.

How often are Coffee Enema’s Recommended?

For those who are looking to boost liver function and support the healing of an underlying condition, daily coffee enemas would be recommended. Each individual has different needs but, as with anything, consistency is key. Once you start feeling the benefits of doing a coffee enema, you will want to practice them regularly! Keep in mind, if you are doing daily or even several coffee enemas a week we highly recommend doing at least one probiotic bulb a week to replenish your good bacteria in the colon. For those with pre-existing conditions, you may want to consult your health care practitioner for specific advice. When beginning coffee enemas, it is important to keep in mind that you may experience mild-more intense detox symptoms and this is a part of the healing journey.

What are the benefits?

During a coffee enema, the caffeine gets absorbed into the bloodstream via the rectal veins and goes straight to the liver via the portal vein. This bypasses the digestive process and stimulates the production and flow of bile, by dilating the bile ducts. This increases the production of glutathione in the liver by 600-700%! Glutathione is the liver’s master antioxidant, which is crucial for detoxification. The liver uses glutathione to bind free radicals, which can then leave the body safely. It also boosts energy levels, immune function, mental clarity, gut health, and the parasympathetic nervous system.

Great companion to the enema kit

As with all things you put in your body, if you really care about it, should be organic. I was very new to enemas and the thought of putting coffee up your bum was interesting indeed. I found the process very simple & had confidence knowing these are premium beans. Unlike the water enema the coffee one uses a lot less liquid which I found a lot more comfortable. You don’t get a caffeine hit (unfortunately) so I imagine it would be ok for most people but I’d consult a professional if you’re unsure
