Inadequate production of hydrochloric acid (HCl) in the stomach is relatively common in adults. Radiance DigestAid is a blend of betaine hydrochloride and pepsin to support optimal protein digestion. Betaine hydrochloride aids acidity in the stomach, to support optimal digestion and nutrient assimilation. Pepsin, the primary enzyme in the stomach is included to assist protein break down by breaking proteins into smaller peptides for further digestion in the small intestine.
